I'm afraid to say too much because I don't want to "jinx" it, but to summarize...
We've had a flurry of traffic in the last few weeks and two of the people who had looked at the house were still interested after the first visit. We were really holding out hope that something would happen with one of those. But on Thursday afternoon, a guy came for the first time, looked at the house, walked out the door and wrote up an offer immediately! It was a good, solid offer considering the market (98% of asking price), but he asked for significant closing cost assistance and we countered on that amount. He accepted our counter offer and we all signed the paperwork Friday afternoon! It is heartening to us that he really seems to be as excited about the house as we've been expecting "Mr or Mrs Right" to be all along. :)
We are "cautiously excited." After nearly 11 months on the market, I think we are both afraid to believe that it might actually happen, but pending inspections we are scheduled to close on February 29. We appreciate all of your prayers on our behalf and ask that you please keep us in them for the next month. We really need to bring closure to this "adventure."
